Restore safety, resilience, and connection through the intelligence of your body
Somatic Coaching
A trauma-informed, body-based approach to healing stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. Somatic coaching works directly with the nervous system — helping you move out of fight, flight, or freeze and back into grounded presence.
At the heart of my work is the body — a living archive of our stories, emotions, and possibilities. Unlike mind-first approaches, somatic coaching and therapy recognises the body as the primary doorway to healing and transformation.
Many of us live disconnected from our bodies — caught in cycles of stress, survival, or overthinking. Somatic embodiment is a return to presence. It reconnects us with sensation, breath, and movement, opening pathways for authentic expression and deeper relationship with ourselves, others, and the world around us. When we listen to the body, what feels frozen begins to move, and what was once hidden begins to heal.
Somatic coaching practices help us return home to ourselves, where true resilience and vitality can be restored.
What is Somatic Coaching?
Somatic coaching is a body-centered approach to healing, growth, and transformation. Rather than working only through thoughts or conversation, somatic coaching invites the body itself to lead the process. At the heart of this work is the understanding that the body is a living archive — holding our experiences, emotions, stress patterns, and survival responses. Many challenges we face today are not problems of mindset alone, but reflections of a nervous system shaped by chronic stress, overwhelm, or unresolved trauma.
Somatic coaching offers a way back to presence. By listening to sensation, breath, movement, and impulse, we begin to restore connection between body, mind, and soul — allowing what has been frozen, suppressed, or overwhelmed to gently come back into flow.
How Somatic Coaching Works
Somatic coaching sessions are experiential, gentle, and deeply attuned.
We work with what is present in your body right now, rather than analyzing or reliving the past.
Practices may include:
Felt-sense awareness
Breathwork and nervous system tracking
Body mapping and somatic inquiry
Intuitive and expressive movement
Subtle awareness practices that access the subconscious
Who is Somatic Coaching for?
Somatic coaching may be supportive if you:
Feel stuck in stress, anxiety, or overwhelm
Struggle with nervous system dysregulation
Feel disconnected from your body or emotions
Want trauma-informed support without talk-therapy alone
Are seeking embodied growth, not just insight
Want practical tools for nervous system regulation
You don’t need to be “broken” to begin — only willing to listen.
Through felt sense awareness, body mapping, intuitive movement, and somatic inquiry
(a process that allows us to access the subconscious in a way similar to hypnotherapy), we begin to unravel the patterns of tension and trauma that live beneath words. These practices invite us to reweave the connection between body, mind, and soul, so that blocked energy, unprocessed memory, and emotional weight can be gently released.
I also integrate the Triple Vagal Method®, a powerful somatic trauma therapy rooted in Polyvagal Theory.
The vagus nerve — the body’s primary "social and safety" nerve — regulates our ability to relax, connect, and feel safe. When trauma or stress becomes unresolved, this nerve can hold the imprint, leaving us stuck in patterns of fight, flight, or freeze.
How TVM works
The Triple Vagal Method® engages the different branches of the vagus nerve through touch, breath, sound, and gentle somatic activation. This allows the nervous system to complete unfinished trauma cycles and return to its natural state of regulation.
One of the unique gifts of TVM is that it does not require re-activating or re-telling old stories — the body itself knows how to release and restore when given the right support.
Another gift of this modality is its adaptability: TVM can be shared as a self-practice that empowers you with tools to regulate your own nervous system in daily life, or it can be offered in the depth of a one-on-one in-person session, where guided touch and presence create a profound space for release and integration.
Results
The result is a felt sense of safety, increased resilience, and the ability to experience deeper calm, connection, and vitality. Together, these approaches open the path to freedom, wholeness, and a renewed relationship with your body — as an ally, a guide, and a source of wisdom.
Together, these approaches help to:
Regulate and strengthen your nervous system
Resolve trauma held in the body and restore safety
Release chronic tension, pain, and blocked emotions
Reconnect with authentic expression and creativity
Build resilience, vitality, and wholeness in everyday life
This work is not about analyzing your past. It is about awakening your body’s innate intelligence — the wisdom that has always lived within you. Through somatic therapy and nervous system regulation, we create the conditions for healing, balance, and authentic freedom to emerge.
If something in this resonates with you, trust that your body’s wisdom is already guiding the way.
I would be honoured to explore this path together. ⁓
Somatic coaching is a body-based approach to personal growth and healing that works with sensation, movement, breath, and nervous system regulation rather than thoughts alone.
Somatic coaching helps regulate the nervous system by supporting the body to move out of fight, flight, or freeze and into states of safety, rest, and connection through gentle, experiential practices.
Somatic coaching and somatic therapy use similar body-based principles, but coaching focuses more on present-moment awareness, resilience, and embodied growth rather than clinical diagnosis or treatment.
The vagus nerve plays a key role in emotional regulation, safety, and connection. Somatic coaching often works directly with the vagus nerve to restore balance and resilience.
No. Somatic coaching does not require retelling traumatic stories. The focus is on listening to the body and allowing release through sensation and regulation.
Somatic coaching can support stress, anxiety, trauma responses, chronic tension, emotional regulation, burnout, and disconnection from the body.
